With iSmartDV, you can control the iCatch Technology’s based DSP camera on your iPhone or iPad. Like remote viewfinder/preview and view photo album.

Connection Steps

  1. Turn on the Camera Wi-Fi, it will act as a Wi-Fi AP.
  2. In iPhone/iPad, Setting->Wi-Fi, turn it on and find out the camera SSID, then connect. The SSID & password should be on your manual or contact service.
  3. Open the APP

Now, you can stream the preview and take a picture or video.

Q&A

Q: Why cannot create a new camera?

A: First, make sure you follow the connection steps and establish the connection; second, try to ping 192.168.1.1 by other Apps, like Ping Lite, and make sure the wireless signal is strong enough for work.

Q: Why cannot download the video?

A: Before downloading, you should make sure the video format is compatible with iPhone/iPad and allow iSmart DV to access Photo Library.

*1. Make sure the camera file format is compatible with iOS; the AVI is not supported.

*2. Make sure the camera is designed with an iCatch SPCA6330 or SPCA6350 chip.

*3. Play video without download feature is based on the camera.

Some people feedback us they cannot download big video files (more than 2GB); thanks for your feedback; we have checked many more cameras and found the problem is that the camera suddenly disconnects the Wi-Fi connection during download; we cannot fix the camera crash issue, sorry.

Hi, I have a Crosstour Action Camera, it recommended DV King app, which is utterly awful. I searched the other options and found this, it worked perfectly, connected immediately to my camera, operated the camera via my mobile, everything is easy to use, and there’s a help button to overcome any issues. I have zero tolerance for the must have apps, that don’t work, I have little space to store new apps on my mobile, so having an app work from the off set is great. This meets my needs perfectly.

Continually says sd card removed,I know there is no sd card in there but it pops up every screen change and it’s annoying. You can change basically every setting EK7000 4k ultra. It updates the time automatically which is nice since it resets the time after you change the battery, which is dumb of the camera, haha.

Not sure why people is complaining too much, I got an Sterem Sport Cam 500, and it works great, I can download both pictures and video, as well as using as remote view from my Smart phone via WiFi Direct, being said that, this app will work for some specific cameras, not all brands, not all versions.

great investment we just had our first child and we’ve been recording and taking pictures like crazy. It’s great that the app allows us to take pictures and videos thru are phone and then watch and share with anyone. , totally awesome great free app.

I think this app works wonders! I am out fighting wildland fire as a wildland firefighter so I have no access to a computer. This app ensures that I can save and modify my vids on the go! It also gives me space for the long vids I take while on the line.

Once you figure it out, it’s kinda easy. 1. Connect wifi (phone) to camera, stop. 2. Open up app for camera, Then just follow the prompts from the app. That’s where you format the SD card from. Easily change the quality settings. (Recording)

I have tried different apps trying to.connect and control my camera’s. this is the ONLY app I have found that connects all three brands of camera set up I have that have wifi connection capability. I am soo happy with this app I dont waste my time giving feed back on good apps or.bad apps Because it has never really been worth it. I needed to get on here literally seconds after connected my third brand of action cam [ akaso, crosstour, AEE ] <4k 1080p 4k>

One of the most affordable and the best action camera. l use this app for my EK7000 CAM ON my LG-V10’s and it works perfect. I also run the older version 1.1.1 of iSmart DV app on a Samsung Rugby Pro SGH i547 using the same EK7000 CAM. The old version of iSmart DV app updated Sep, 29, 2018 works okay on my old Rugby Pro i547’s, “Icecream Sandwitch 4.0.4 OS, upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS.
